Adriano to stay at Roma

Adriano’s agent Gilmar Rinaldi has stated that his client will surely be staying at Roma through the winter despite reports that the Brazilian was seeking a return to his homeland.
Many had expected Adriano to leave the Giallorossi after a disappointing start to the season which was hampered by injury saw him make only a handful of appearances.
But now his agent, claims that the ex-Inter man is happy to stay in the capital and is not contemplating going back to Brazil after his spell with Flamengo last year.
“There is nothing to decide. I have always said he would be staying, but people never believe me. He will carry on playing for Roma as he has a contract there and he will respect it until the end.”
Reports suggested that Adriano may fancy going back home after his close friend and former Canaries team-mate Ronaldo repeatedly asked him to join him at Corinthians.
In fact the Brazilian club went so far as to say that they had an agreement with the player, which Adriano denied. “There is no possibility of him returning to Brazil. I have always denied there being an agreement with Corinthians”, said Rinaldi.
Adriano has found himself back in favour at the Giallorossi in recent weeks and he started the game against Milan over club captain Francesco Totti and helped Roma to an important 1-0 victory.
