Agnelli: “Juventus will have funds available in January”

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli has stated that funds will be available for the team in January to invest in the market. The Bianconeri have undertaken a rebuilding operation this season and it is likely to continue in the winter.
Speaking with Tuttosport, Agnelli made it clear that Sporting Director Beppe Marotta will have the option of dipping into the market once more after a summer of busy activity.
“We are not held back by our massive investments in June. There is nothing to prevent us going into the market again. If there are some favourable conditions, we are open to act in January.”
There have been reports that the Bianconeri will look to lighten some of the deadweight in their squad and players like Hasan Salihamidzic and Momo Sissoko allowed to leave.
Agnelli also spoke of the contract situations of two Juve legends – Gianluigi Buffon and Alessandro Del Piero. Both players have stated their desire to continue in Turin.
“Buffon is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but he is still in hospital and its just been a month since concluding his operation. He will be back.”
“With Del Piero, there is always admiration and respect. We will sit and evaluate his future at an appropriate time. When you are 36, you may not feel the same way in six months as you do now.”

The Bianconeri faithful have been mighty pleased with the team’s season thus far as Juve are on 27 points, just six off Milan at the top. Many are now starting to believe that the team may compete for the Scudetto, but Agnelli is tranquil.
“The Scudetto is in the DNA of Juventus and has always been. We are in a rebuilding phase and we cannot forget where we come from. Promising the championship means generating huge expectations, but trying to win all games, does not.”
With the proposed players’ strike now called off, Juventus will welcome Lazio to Turin on Sunday evening. A win against the Aquile will see the Bianconeri rise to second in the table. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
