Allegri believes Rocchi’s decisions affected both teams

Milan were held to a draw yesterday afternoon in Bologna as they dropped points to fall behind Udinese in the title race.
Bologna were denied a penalty in the dying moments of the first half, when Milan captain Clarence Seedorf appeared to have handled the ball inside the box. Referee Gianluca Rocchi’s then put more attention on himself when he made a controversial decision to award Milan a penalty in the 71st minute and then caught the spotlight again neglecting Milan calls for a second penalty in the dying stages of the game.
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri believed that the decisions made by Rocchi were fairly poor, but the number of wrong decisions against both teams did even things out.
“I’ve seen the situation again and Seedorf indeed seemed to handle the ball. However, toward the end a similar situation didn’t result in a spot kick for us either,” the tactician told the press in the post-match conference.
“As for Ibrahimovic’s penalty, I think that he dived in order to win a spot kick. The referee got it wrong, but his decisions went against both teams and not just one of the two, so it evens itself out.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
