Allegri delighted Milan victory over Cagliari as Rossoneri go top

Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri was delighted with his side following their 2-0 away win over Cagliari on Tuesday evening, which leaves them top of Serie A for at least 24 hours until Juventus face Udinese on Wednesday night.
Milan took the lead through an own-goal, set up by Robinho, who turned provider as part of a one-two with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to make it 2-0.
”It wasn’t a pretty game, but it was important to get three points, and to finish the year in the best way,” Allegri told Sky Italia. ”As we expected, it wasn’t easy, also as we have had a tough run, and you could see we were tired. Cagliari ran a lot and put us in difficulty.”
Milan’s next Serie A match is on 8th January away to Atalanta, after the Christmas break.
