Allegri praises “extraordinary” Ibrahimovic after derby win

Milan Coach Massmiliano Allegri has lavished praise on his players and especially on goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the wake of the Rossoneri’s win over city rivals Inter. “Ibrahimovic is an extraordinary player. He gives our team character apart from raising the technical level of the group. He played a great game, as did his teammates”.
Allegri was extremely pleased with the character shown by his team particularly in the second half after they were reduced to ten men: “Tonight all of my players helped each other. With this spirit, we can also afford to play with more offensive players in the team, because with this mentality it’s easier to defend”.
The Milan Coach also felt that the Rossoneri did well to get themselves organised tactically when the Inter onslaught arrived late on: “We went a man down, we defended in an organised way. We played a good game. We were aggressive and smart. I believe my lads made our fans happy with this performance”.
Milan now sit six points ahead of Inter in the standings and lead Lazio by a point at the head of the table. However, there was no room for complacency according to Allegri: “We now have 26 points. Its not bad, but it’s still not enough to avoid relegation nor win the championship”. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
