Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri has claimed that Brazilian ace Ronaldinho has to put in more effort if he is to feature for the Rossoneri more frequently. The former Barca man has spent more time on the bench in recent weeks than on the field amidst increasingly louder rumours of his departure from the club.
“Ronaldinho is doing well but he must work hard to regain his place in the squad”, said the Milanese tactician as his team continued their preparations for the trip to Auxerre in the Champions League. Ronaldinho claimed recently that he is at the service of his Coach but these latest comments suggest a certain amount of discomfort between the two.
Milan will travel to France without Pato, Inzaghi, Oddo, Antonini who are all injured while Andrea Pirlo’s recovery is going slower than usual and he too will miss out. For Allegri, Inzaghi’s absence is particularly worrisome as the serial goal poacher is out for the rest of the season: “He was doing very well, and was proving to be very useful. We will feel his absence”.
Milan are currently second in the table behind Real Madrid and a victory against the French team could make qualification easier as the Rossoneri face Ajax at home in the final round.
