Allegri talks ahead of Real Madrid-Milan tie

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke briefly to journalists as his team got ready to depart for Spain for their encounter with Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid. Allegri acknowledged the difficult task facing his team to repeat last season’s 3-2 victory against Los Blancos: “Real are a tough opponent. This will be a game of great technical interest”.
The Rossoneri are coming off the back of a solid win against Chievo on Saturday night in a game where Brazilian Ronaldinho won many plaudits. Allegri also heaped praise on the two time Ballon d’Or winner: “Ronaldinho is doing very well in this playmaker role. He is moving very well on the pitch and fits well into the 4-3-1-2 system”.
The tactician emphasized the need to get a result in tomorrow’s encounter: “It is important that we score points or else we may reach a situation in the last two games with water in our throats”. Allegri refuted suggestions that the game would be a tactical encounter between him and former Inter coach, Mourinho: “It will be a duel between Milan and Madrid not Mourinho and me. There are players out on the field and Mourinho is shaping the squad in his image.”
Milan are currently sweating over the condition of their center-back Thiago Silva who suffered a strain in the match against Chievo. Allegri confirmed a decision on the Brazilian’s fitness will be taken only tomorrow. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
