Alvarez closes in on Inter

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Ricardo Alvarez is close to signing for Inter.
The Velez Sarsfield midfielder has been attracting keen interest from Palermo, Roma and Arsenal, but Zamparini now believes that Inter have won the race for his signature.
Discussing Alvarez’s situation with Sky Italia, Zamparini said: “We were close to signing Alvarez for half the price they will now pay for him but my colleagues took it easy and no agreement was reached.
“Where he will go? He was going to sign for Arsenal but Inter made a move and that is where I believe he will go.”

Alvarez’s current club Velez have confirmed that the Argentine will be leaving, although chief Fernando Raffaini is not sure where the player is heading.
“Ricky Alvarez could be in England or Italy, because we are negotiating with several clubs in those countries,” said Raffaini.
Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that the youngster’s future will be sorted out sometime today with Inter officials set to meet their Argentinean counterparts in Buenos Aires this afternoon. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
