Amauri agent plays down Juve exit talk

Amauri’s agent has once again quashed rumours linking his client with a move away from Juventus. In the past few days, the Brazilian’s time at the Bianconeri has come under question with Juve reportedly seeking to replace him.
But in an interview with the striker’s agent Giampiero Pocetta claims that Amauri aims to continue in Turin for the foreseeable future despite interest from other clubs.
“Amauri wants to stay at Juventus. He returned to the group yesterday, taking part in a practice game and he will continue to work hard to make himself availabe at the Coach’s disposal who has always had faith in him.”
Real Madrid Coach Jose Mourinho has previously praised Amauri and this prompted speculation that Los Blancos could make a bid for the forward especially as Gonzalo Higuain has been ruled out for the season.
“It is nice that Mourinho admires the player, but there is nothing. Amauri leaving Juve is a voice that started yesterday and has now resumed today, but its just ‘noisy’ journalism.”
Finally, Porcetta also made it clear that the Brazilian had not rejected any offers amid reports that Juventus were planning a player swap with Fiorentina involving him and Alberto Gilardino.
“It is absolutely untrue. Amauri did not refuse anything, because there have never been any formal negotiations, only many rumours and speculation, that’s it.”
Juve resume their season in the New Year when they welcome Parma on January 6. The Old Lady are currently fourth in the table, five points behind leaders Milan. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
