Amauri won’t retun to Palermo

Amauri’s wage demands will prevent the player returning to Palermo from Juventus, that is the view of club presidents Maurizio Zamparini.
Amauri is not short of admirers, with Napoli, Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur all credited with an interest in the player, while the rumours of a second spell with Palermo begin to gain momentum.
However, Zamparini has moved to quash such speculation, insisting the 31-year-old would have to take a significant pay-cut before a homecoming was possible.
“Amauri is one of the strongest forwards that we have in Italy,” Zamparini told Gazzetta dello Sport. “But we cannot sign him because his wages are too much.
“If he cut his salary to €1million per year, I would sign him immediately. But he earns €4million and Palermo cannot afford those figures.”

The striker swapped Palermo for Turin in 2008, but has seen his starting chances at Juve deteriorate over the last few months, so much so that he spent the second half of last season on loan at Parma. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
