Aquilani “calm” over future

Alberto Aquilani is not worried about his future despite the possibility of being left in limbo this summer unless Juventus agree to make his loan spell from Liverpool a permanent transfer.
The Italy international had a torrid season in the Premier League after Liverpool paid Roma £20 million for him, but last summer he was handed a reprieve when Juve brought him back to Serie A on loan.
He has greatly impressed in the Bianconeri’s midfield, and it seems the club would ideally like to keep him beyond the end of his temporary stay. However, Juve and Liverpool are some distance apart in their valuation of the 26-year-old.
He said: “I came here running quite a big risk, as I came on a simple loan deal. That’s unlike many of my team-mates, who have some kind of reassurance or even obligation for a permanent move.
“There is nothing for me, just a loan with an option to buy. Liverpool set a high buy-out clause on my loan, especially in the current financial climate.
“I know it’s not easy. I knew coming here to Juventus that it would not be easy, but in all honesty I am calm, am not thinking about it and have never thought about it.
“Now I will finish off the year and try to give everything, as in any case Juventus have given me the chance to come back to Italy and have an important role in this squad.”

Liverpool are thought to want to recoup the majority of the fee they paid for Aquilani less than two years ago, but Juve are reluctant to pay more than £12m. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
