Aquilani recommends Johnson to Juventus

On-loan midfielder Alberto Aquilani has told Juventus they should sign Glen Johnson from his parent club Liverpool.
Juventus signed Aquilani in a season-long loan in the summer after a disastrous campaign with Liverpool. The Bianconeri have also been linked with signing Johnson from Anfield, a transfer that Aquilani would approve of.
The Italy international told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “What former Liverpool team-mate would I bring to Juventus? I wouldn’t want to offend some of my friends, but from Liverpool I would take Glen Johnson.”
Johnson, who cost Liverpool £17 million, would not come cheap for Juve. Neither would Aquilani, in fact, if the club chose to make his loan spell permanent.
About his future, Aquilani added: “I hope to convince the directors of Juventus to buy me from Liverpool.
“At Juve I would like to open a new era with the team. Sixteen million Euros is a lot, but they can negotiate.
“Juve was a huge opportunity for me, I could not lose it. Leaving Italy was not easy, I faced many life changes.”

Aquilani has impressed recently for the Bianconeri and has been rewarded with a start for the national side against Romania on Wednesday night.
