Baldini returns to Roma and makes peace with Totti

Today, AS Roma’s official Facebook and Twitter pages announced triumphantly that “Franco Baldini is back.” The England national team’s ex-assistant coach, Franco Baldini, returned to Roma’s Trigoria training ground yesterday as their new general manager.
One of Baldini’s first jobs was to seek out the Roma captain, Francesco Totti, and make his peace after an infamous interview in 2005 in which Baldini described Roma’s talisman as “lazy” – along with other unpopular descriptions.
La Repubblica reports that after a 15 minute conversation, all was well between the pair, with Totti adding that they were “shoulder to shoulder.” They were photographed together smiling adding that everything was now geared towards “the good of Roma.”
Baldini was accompanied on his tour of Trigoria by Walter Sabatini, Roma’s sporting director and met coach Luis Enrique and the rest of the Roma squad and staff.
