Bari in for Motherwell defender

Corriere dello Sport has linked Bari with a surprising move for Motherwell defender Mark Reynolds.
Reynolds, 23, has earned rave reviews in the Scottish Premier League, and Celtic and Rangers have been credited with an interest. But it has emerged that Bari are a shock contender for his signature after their scouts recommended him.
Motherwell’s manager Craig Brown said: “We have had no official contact from any club regarding Mark, but it would be no surprise if his form is attracting attention from the continent or elsewhere.
“In the last three years he has missed just one game and that is remarkable consistency.
“Mark has great pace and that is the asset that is prized most when you are playing in a key area in the backline. He is the complete modern central defender.
“Ultimately it will not be my decision, that will be for the chairman to make.
“But last season there was around £77,000 per place at stake in the SPL and I would say keeping Mark until the end of the campaign could be a difference of three places for us.
“That would negate any such fee, should these reports prove accurate. So for me it would make more sense for us to keep a hold of Mark.”
