Barzagli closes in on Juventus move

Andrea Barzagli has moved a step closer to joining Juventus after his agent confirmed that he will not play for Wolfsburg this weekend, and instead will travel to Italy for negotiations.
Juventus have been chasing the World Cup winner all season to add him to their defensive ranks, but earlier in the week it seemed a deal was some way off as Wolfsburg claimed that no talks had taken place. However, the centre-back could now seal his return to Serie A next week.
Barzagli’s agent Claudio Orlandi said: “The player will be in Turin at the start of next week. There are only a few details left to sort out.”
Barzagli, 29, will not be offered a new contract with the German club and his current deal will expire in the summer. He has been left out this weekend’s squad to face Mainz and the club are seemingly happy to get one of their highest paid players off the wage bill. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
