Barzagli: Juventus deserve to be first

Juventus central defender Andrea Barzagli believes the Bianconeri are deserved leaders of Serie A, following an unbeaten start to the campaign.
Saturday’s 2-1 win against Inter was the fifth win of the season for the Turin giants, who are a point clear of Udinese and Lazio. The former Italian international told the club’s official website hard work has been the catalyst to their start.
“Being top of the league gives us a nice feeling, but I fully believe that we deserve it. We always prepare ourselves to stay up there. We’ve started well, also thanks to the great work we underwent over pre-season and the fact that the new players have instantly settled in well. But we’re still just at the beginning and there’s a lot more to do.”
This weekend Juve travel to Naples for another difficult encounter. Barzagli went on to say: “The opposition is anything but easy, and we’ll have to meet Napoli at one of the toughest stadiums in the league.”
Barzagli notes he feels privileged to be a Bianconeri: “Perhaps my name had been forgotten because I went to Wolfsburg, where I still had a good experience, winning a championship. Coming to Juve, however, is the greatest and I work every day to earn the right to wear this shirt.”
Finally, he had a message to Antonio Cassano, who has suffered a heart problem: “What’s happened to him is unbelievable. A player gives everything for football from a young age and to be forced to abandon his career is terrible. First, I wish him a full recovery and hope to see him back playing soon. We’ll wait for him with open arms.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
