Behrami could leave West Ham to return to Serie A with Roma

Reports have emerged in Italian sports daily Tuttosport that West Ham United’s midfielder Valon Behrami could finally be set to return to Italy in January.
Roma and Cesena are supposedly the two teams tracking Behrami, and could be interested in making a bid in the January transfer window. Roma were on the verge of signing him last summer, and had reached an agreement with West Ham to swap him with goalkeeper Alexandre Doni. The move fell through at the last minute as a result of Doni’s refusal to leave Roma.
But Roma may return in January to bring Behrami back to the capital, although they could face competiton from high-flying Cesena. The fee that West Ham would ask remains to be seen.
The 25-year-old Swiss international signed for West Ham from Lazio two years ago for £5 million, having previously had spells with Genoa and Verona. Behrami, though, had never hidden his desire to return to Serie A. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
