Corriere dello Sport has claimed that Benfica defender Fabio Coentrao has no interest in signing for Milan, amid speculation that the Rossoneri were interested in him.
Milan are seeking to add a left-back to their squad to improve what is seen as a weak position in the team. They had identified Coentrao, but it seems the Portuguese international would prefer to stay in Lisbon than move to Milan.
The 22-year-old started his career at Rio Ave before his talent was spotted by Benfica. He has represented Portugal nine times, and particularly impressed at last summer’s World Cup. However, it seems Milan will have to look elsewhere to strengthen their defence.
