Benitez admits Inter need new players

Rafa Benitez has admitted that his Inter team needs new players in January.
Inter beat Cagliari 1-0 earlier in the day, with a Samuel Eto’o winner. But Benitez has denied that Inter are reliant upon Eto’o scoring, and insists he has a strong squad, although it needs reinforcements in the next transfer window.
The Spanish coach told Sky Sports Italia: “It was important to win today while we await the return of our many injured players.
“We are not dependent on Eto’o. When I have a more complete squad to choose from, we will have more alternatives and styles of play.
“All of Cagliari scoring opportunities came from our mistakes.
“We need to analyse two or three situations with director Marco Branca. I think we need to buy new players in January so we can be sharp right to the end of the season.”

Inter have been linked with a host of players, not least Lionel Messi, although a move for the Barcelona man is hugely unlikely. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
