Blackburn boss excited by Ronaldinho

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is delighted with his club’s ambitious attempts to capture the signature of the wantaway Ronaldinho.
The English Premier League outfit have tabled a bit of £6.2 million for the 30-year-old AC Milan attacker and two-time winner of the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
The Rossoneri revealed in December that they are willing to part company with the Brazilian, and Rovers are not the only club said to be in the frame for his services.
Manager Kean is refusing to get carried away with the speculation, although he does admit that linking up with Ronaldinho is something that would excite him.
“I know there has been contact made by the owners to representatives of Ronaldinho but I don’t know how far down the line it is and whether it will actually happen,” Kean revealed to Sky Sports.
“If any Premier League manager was asked if they wanted to sign someone who has been World Player of the Year twice they would be interested.
“Everyone should look at it as a positive because if we can attract players – maybe not that individual if it doesn’t happen – but players of that stature I think it has been a long time since we have been able to do that.”

Since joining the San Siro based club, Ronaldinho has failed to truly recapture the form he displayed during his time at Barcelona with his commitment and fitness levels coming into question on many occasions. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
