Blackburn plot Vucinic raid

Blackburn Rovers are planning an audacious swoop for Roma’s Mirko Vucinic, backed by the hefty finances of their new owners.
Indian-based company Venky’s took over the Premier League side and vowed to bring some marquee names to the club during the January transfer window.
Despite putting in a bid for Ronaldinho and being linked with David Beckham, no high-profile names arrived. Vucinic has now emerged as a summer target as Blackburn believe they can get their man for around £16 million.
Roma’s financial difficulties have been well-documented and UniCredit, the bank that owns the club, currently have the final say on transfers. If Blackburn can offer a substantial fee, Roma may be forced to sell one of their prized assets.
Vucinic, 27, is reportedly unhappy at the Stadio Olimpico after Roma’s dismal season so far. He currently earns around £70,000-a-week and Roma would be keen to rid themselves of his colossal wage.
Whether Venky’s give Blackburn the backing to put forth a bid for the player plus give him a long-term contract of a similar salary remains to be seen. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
