Blackburn rule out Ronaldinho raid

Ronaldinho will not be set for a shock move to Blackburn Rovers after the club’s new owners went back on their original claims that they had offered the player a contract.
The Premier League outfit have recently been taken over by Indian-based Venky’s, who have vowed to bolster the squad with quality signings in January.
Club director Venkatesh Rao stated on his Facebook and Twitter that he had offered Ronaldinho a lucrative two-year deal, a bold claim which the Brazilian’s brother and agent confirmed was true.
But it now seems Blackburn are not in the race, after Rao changed his mind, saying: “We are still finalising possible signings but hopefully we can come out into the press and make things clearer in a week.
“Discussions are still going on and meetings are going on. Money is not the criteria at all though, we do not mind about the money.”
“It is about getting the right players for Blackburn Rovers and we have enough money to do that. That is not a problem. We want to bring quality to Blackburn Rovers.”

Ronaldinho is currently in Brazil and seems set to join either Gremio or Flamengo. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
