Bologna confirm sale agreement has been reached

Bologna officially have new owners after agreeing a sale to the Segafredo coffee company, hopefully solving the perilous financial situation that threatened to ruin the club.
Giovanni Consorte and Massimo Zanetti, who owns Segafredo, are Bologna’s new owners after reaching a long-awaited agreement with the club’s president Sergio Porcedda. The deal is expected to save Bologna from bankruptcy.
A club statement read: “After a long and complex negotiation process to save and revive Bologna FC 1909, we have reached an agreement.”
“The talks were held via Intermedia Finance on behalf of Comitato Bologna 2010 with the owners of Bologna represented by Porcedda and Renzo Menarini.
“In the next few days, we will formalise all the contracts, administrative and financial issues to make the deal official. We wish to thank everyone who collaborated and contributed to the success of this operation.”

Bologna’s problems with their finances have been well documented this season. The players have began legal action against their club over unpaid wages, and Bologna have also been docked a point due to their irregularities. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
