Bologna sale confirmed

According to Sky Italia, Bologna has been sold to Intermedia Bank this afternoon. It is being reported that current owner Sergio Porcedda has sold his 80 % share in the club along with former patron Renzo Menarini, who has relinquished his 20% stake.
Porcedda has been under pressure since it was revealed that members of staff at the club were owed at least two months salary and there were even rumours of certain players possibly refusing to play until the amount owed to them was fully paid.
The club have had the threat of a point’s deduction hanging over them since the announcement was made and it seems that the current patron has took the sensible approach and ended his association with the Rossoblu.
Intermedia bank are headed by Giovanni Consorte, the former boss of Unipol and over the next few days, the full details of the takeover will be revealed.
