Branca: “Inter are fine now”

Inter’s Technical Director Marco Branca has said that the club feels it is fine after the acquisition of Andrea Ranocchia from Genoa and may not invest again this term.
Speaking to journalists at the official unveiling of Ranocchia as an Inter player, Branca stated that the defender was only brought in to cover Samuel’s absence and all future transfer plans will only materialize in June.
“We brought in Andrea earlier as we saw that he was very quick to recover from his injury, proving to be very competitive, and then unfortunately there was also the injury to Samuel.
“As President Moratti has said already we are always vigilant in the market, but I believe we are already very competitive. The transfer objectives are now in place for the next season, we are fine now.”

Moratti has been hesitant in investing in the market this year due to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules which come into effect from 2012 and this in part contributed to Rafa Benitez’s departure from the club.
One of the rumours doing the rounds is Inter looking to bring Kaka back to Milan, but Branca quickly shot down such suggestions, claiming the Nerazzurri have never given thought to such a move.
“Kaka? We have never considered such an eventuality. Ronaldinho? When I read it this morning it seemed more of a necessity to fill a void in the news. We have never really though of either Kaka or Ronaldinho.”
Another name that has been frequently linked with Inter is Udinese’s wide-man Alexis Sanchez who La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported wanted to move to the Nerazzurri.
“Sanchez? There are reports from Udinese that he wants to depart. And he is a good player but as I’ve said before, our market program runs from June . We have followed what’s going on, but we are now in place so, I repeat.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
