Brescia haven’t asked about Maccarone

Brescia have not made any contact regarding the signing of Palermo striker Massimo Maccarone, according to the player’s agent.
The 32-year-old journeyman has mainly been a substitute since joining Palermo last summer from Siena, for whom his goalscoring was impressive.
His current role on the bench has seen several clubs take an interest, not least Milan, who were rumoured to be thinking about a bid. But now Brescia have emerged as candidates to sign Maccarone.
The club are 17th in Serie A and could be set to lose their main striker Andrea Caracciolo in January. If this happens they are expected to bid for Maccarone, although the Palermo player’s agent has insisted that there hasn’t been any contact yet.
Paolo Fabbri said: “I have not had any contact with Brescia and had strict orders not to call other clubs.”
“Unless I hear otherwise, he will keep playing for the Rosanero, then eventually we’ll do the math. Challenging for a starting place on Palermo is difficult, but this is his intention. If Palermo want to look at other options then we’ll discuss what to do.”

Maccarone has only been with Palermo a matter of months but is well used to transferring, and Brescia would be his tenth club should they make him a January signing. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
