Brescia’s Diamanti wanted by Wolfsburg

Brescia’s star player Alessandro Diamanti has been targeted by German side Wolfsburg, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Diamanti only signed for Brescia in the summer after spending a season in the Premier League with West Ham United. Upon his return to Italy, the 27-year-old forward has really caught the eye with some special performances, and won his first international cap for the Azzurri on Wednesday night against Romania.
It now seems that Brescia may have a struggle on to keep hold of their player. Although he is contracted until 2015, Wolfsburg are supposedly in a position to finance a move for him. The club have previously bought Diego and Simon Kjaer from Juventus and Palermo respectively so are no strangers to dealing with Serie A clubs.
Diamanti is somewhat of a journeyman, and played for five lower-league clubs before making his name with Livorno between 2007 and 2009. Remarkably, 63 appearances in these two seasons for Livorno is the longest he has spent at any club during his career, which doesn’t bode well for Brescia. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
