Buffon will stay at Juventus says agent

Silvano Martina, the agent of Gianluigi Buffon, has spoken to Tuttomercatoweb.com about the constant rumours surrounding his client’s future, claiming the rumours are nonsense.
Buffon has been linked with a move away from Juventus as the club look to make a sacrifice and free up funds. Buffon earns £6.5 million a season, which Juve want to half. Roma have a new owner and have been linked with a move, while the Bianconeri have been linked with replacement goalkeepers.
Martina insists Buffon is going nowhere: “At the moment I am reading a lot of nonsense, perhaps because the newspapers do not know what other things to write. I can say that Gigi has two and a half years of his contract left to run and that is that.”
Even with the contract, the rumours have not stopped and Martina is fed up with the ever-present hysteria close to his client: “I do not believe that [Samuel] Eto’o will leave Inter or [Francesco] Totti leave Roma. Yet with Buffon there is speculation written about for five days. What’s more I find that they say I would meet up with [Roma director, Gian Paolo] Montali. I do not even know him.”
