Cagliari confirm Donadoni as new Coach

Cagliari have confirmed that Roberto Donadoni will be the club’s new Coach following the sacking of Pierpaolo Bisoli last night. Donadoni who managed the national side during Euro 2008 was widely expected to take over the reins of the Sardinian club and a statement on the club website confirmed his appointment.
“Cagliari Calcio announces the presentation of our new coach Roberto Donadoni. The former Italy Coach will be in Cagliari on Tuesday afternoon to meet President Massimo Cellino and sign a contract” – this was the official statement issued by the club.
Donadoni is expected the finalise the details of his contract today before being presented to the media on Wednesday. Donadoni was in charge of Napoli for a brief time last year and was sacked at the start of the campaign following poor results.
With Donadoni’s appointment, President Cellino will wish to see his club move away from the relegation zone. Cagliari have won only two games all season and currently lie 17th in the table, level on points with the teams behind them.
Donadoni’s first game in charge will be an away tie against fellow stragglers Brescia. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
