Cagliari invite Genoa bid for Marchetti

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino wants to sell Federico Marchetti to Genoa, he has told Corriere dello Sport.
Goalkeeper Marchetti has been frozen out of Cagliari’s team all season after demanding a transfer in the summer. He has requested a termination of his contract, but if that isn’t granted then Cagliari will sell him in January, and Genoa are interested.
Cellino said: “I haven’t spoken with [Genoa president Enrico] Preziosi and there isn’t an agreement in place. However, I am ready to sell him Marchetti whenever he wants.”
“We had discussions during the summer, but then Genoa signed Eduardo and nothing more happened. But I would have no problems selling Marchetti now. I await Preziosi’s call.”

Genoa goalkeeper Eduardo has failed to impress since joining in the summer, so the club could replace him with Marchetti in the January transfer window if the price is right. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
