Camoranesi ready for Argentina return

Mauro Camoranesi is ready to move back to the country of birth and join up with Argentinean club Lanus.
The naturalised Italian international has spent this season in Germany with Stuttgart, but after just a handful of appearances his contract with cancelled by mutual consent. As a free agent, Camoranesi can join another club outside of any transfer window and it seems his next move will be to Lanus.
The 34-year-old is currently in Tandil, a Buenos Aires province and his hometown, to see his family while he has no footballing commitments. It has been claimed that during the last few days he has received offers from a handful of Argentinean clubs, but Lanus have enticed him the most.
After just one season playing in Argentina with minnows Aldosivi, Camoranesi moved to clubs in Mexico and Uruguay before a second stint at home with Banfield. After joining a second Mexican club, Camoranesi moved to Italy where his career took off. Two years with Verona preceded eight years at Juventus where he became a World Cup winner with Italy.
Camoranesi’s career is now set to finish where it started if Lanus can tie up the details of his contract in the next few days.
