Capello warns Roma should not be underestimated

England Head Coach Fabio Capello speaking to RAI Sport has suggested that his former club Roma should not be underestimated in the race for this season’s Scudetto.
The decorated coach who delivered the title to the capital in 2001 after an 18 year wait has suggested outside of the obvious contenders it is Roma who hold the biggest threat. “It is a return to the high levels of Juventus and Milan, Juventus are playing well. But I would not write off Roma because they have great potential and are not in the cups. This is important because Europe burns energy.”
Capello has claimed it has been an enriching experience leading the Three Lions and tasting international football but claims he cannot imagine a situation where his England stars would move to showcase their talent in Serie A. “There is no hope to see English players in Italy, at least those at the first team level. In England there are four or five teams that are competitive with a big budget – only Real Madrid and Barcelona could turn these players’ heads. The English players are doing well at home – they earn well, they have fun and the stadiums are always fun.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
