Cassano set for first Milan start against ex-club Bari

After a string of impressive performances from the substitute’s bench, Antonio Cassano looks set for his first start in an Milan shirt.
The controversial 28-year-old has featured in every fixture since joining the Rossoneri from Sampdoria during the January transfer window, but the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho had scuppered his chances of featuring in the starting 11.
But with the visit of his native Bari tonight in the Coppa Italia, reports in Italy are suggesting that Coach Massimiliano Allegri will give his latest addition the nod from the outset.
The same reports are suggesting that Cassano will be joined up front by Brazilian centre forward Alexandre Pato.
The 21-year-old has struggled for form and fitness this season as speculation about his future at the San Siro continues to grow.
Possible Milan starting XI: Roma, Oddo, Thiago Silva, Yepes, Antonini; Gattuso, Ambrosini, Merkel; Robinho; Pato, Cassano.
The winners of this tie will face Sampdoria, who booked their place in the quarter finals after a penalty shoot-out victory over Udinese on Wednesday evening. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
