Cassano to stay with Sampdoria

Initial reports coming out of the court room suggest that Antonio Cassano will stay with Sampdoria as the tribunal have refused to rescind his contract. It is as yet unknown whether there are any conditions placed on Cassano’s stay with the Blucerchiati.
Cassano has been involved in a legal wrangle with Sampdoria ever since he had a verbal bust-up with club President Riccardo Garrone. Despite multiple apologies, Garrone decided to go to the courts in an attempt to rescind Cassano’s Sampdoria contract.
The decision which was expected earlier this week will be finalized in a few hours but from what is emerging, it seems that FanAntonio will be reinstated to the Blucerchiati squad. He had been frozen out of the team ever since the proceedings started against him.
Corriere Dello Sport report that his salary may slashed to half because of his misdemeanour but he will back in the team from 1st January, 2011. It is doubtful though if he stays for too long as the transfer window will allow him to move away.
Garrone has already stated that if the court proceedings fail he would most likely sell Cassano. The problem for Sampdoria comes in the form of a clause in Cassano’s agreement which states that Real Madrid, who he played for earlier, will get €5 million if he transfers subsequently.
Inter who were believed to be in the front row to sign Cassano possibly pulled out of the race after club patron Massimo Moratti stated that the team didn’t require any more forwards. This leaves city rivals Milan as one of the favoured destinations for the controversial striker. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
