Catania reiterate Maxi Lopez stance

Catania have once again confirmed that star player Maxi Lopez will not be sold to Juventus in the upcoming January transfer window.
Lopez is one of several strikers that Juventus are monitoring, but Catania are refusing to do any business in the middle of the season. Not for the first time recently, the Sicilian club’s sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco has dismissed speculation about Lopez’s departure.
He claimed: “Let’s end this Maxi Lopez story, it’s just stupid. He is not moving away from Catania.
“He needs to just worry about doing well for us. Lopez has the qualities of a great footballer and he could play for a big club, but for now we are keeping him at Catania.”

Although Lo Monaco didn’t comment about Lopez’s long-term future, it is thought that Catania would be more willing to sell him in the summer if the price was right. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
