Cellino approves Lazzarri move to Milan

Cagliari President Massimo Cellino has agreed to let midfielder Andrea Lazzarri join leaders Milan according to the player’s agent. The Rossoneri have been interested in Lazzarri for a while and it looks like their wish is about to be granted.
Lazzarri’s agent Stephen Zambetti told Calciomercato.it that the deal to the player was approaching closer and could possibly be concluded during the course of this week.
“I have heard the same things that you have and nothing more. There is a willingness on the part of all parties, and I presume we will have a talk with the clubs soon.
“I think that this week there will be definitive contact with us. We are always trying to get things to improve,”
Lambetti said. It is believed that only the transfer fee needs to be finalized.
Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri has always been a fan of Lazzarri as he coached the player while at Cagliari. The 26-year old is expected to provide more options to the Rossoneri midfield which is currently devoid of play-maker Andrea Pirlo because of injury.
Milan haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to the New Year, picking up only five points from their three games in the league. If they do bring in Lazzarri it will be their second signing of January, after previously getting Antonio Cassano.
