Chelsea beat Juventus to Piazon

The Gazzetta dello Sport has reported highly sought-after Brazilian Lucas Piazon will sign for Chelsea rather than Juventus.
The Bianconeri were thought to be separated from Piazon only by minor details when the news first broke but it appears the starlet is headed to London. The Stamford Bridge outfit will pay a fee believed to be €7.5 million (£6.5 million) to secure the youngster who has not yet featured for the Sao Paulo first team but is currently representing Brazil at the U17 South American Championships.
While Juventus failed in their bid for Piazon, Tuttosport has explained the Club will set aside a figure of around €30 million (£26 million) in order to sign a strike partner for Alessandro Matri. The Turin daily says the Old Lady are focusing on three names at this point in time – Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez, Giuseppe Rossi of Villarreal and finally Roma’s Mirko Vucinic, who is thought to be third choice of that list.
