Chelsea have a surprise interest in Sneijder

Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has put Inter’s Wesley Sneijder on the top of his wish-list, and will launch an audacious January bid for the Dutchman.
Chelsea have been in dire form recently and Ancelotti is keen to reignite their title defence by signing a big-name player in the winter transfer window. He has targeted Sneijder to inject some creativity into his mis-firing team.
The 26-year-old had the season of his life last term under Jose Mourinho at Inter, when his excellent form was a major factor in the club’s Treble.
He then led Holland to the World Cup final, leading to many believing he would win the Ballon D’Or. Although he was surprisingly snubbed for the award, Chelsea have seemingly recognised his importance.
Inter are currently 13 points behind their city rivals Milan, who are top of Serie A. The Nerazzurri are rumoured to be on the verge of sacking coach Rafa Benitez, but Sneijder is a player who the club couldn’t afford to lose if they have ambitions of turning their season around.
Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid for a reported €15 million in 2009 but would surely now be valued at a vastly higher figure should Chelsea want to try and tempt him to London. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
