Chiellini to miss next month of action

Juventus have suffered a blow ahead of their must-win clash against Roma this Sunday with Giorgio Chiellini set to miss the next month due to a thigh strain.
Juventus.com reported the injury, which occurred in the first half of Italy’s friendly win over Ukraine, is a first degree tear of the straight femoral muscle in his right thigh.
Only days ago Chiellini’s agent, Davide Lippi, made note of Chiello’s desire to help Juventus salvage something from their season. The injury will give Andrea Barzagli a start alongside Leonardo Bonucci in the heart of the Bianconeri defence.
In other injury news at Juve, Captain Alessandro Del Piero will undergo tests today which will determine if he will be fit to play on Sunday. Pinturicchio went off in a training match with a problem in the adductor muscle of his left thigh.
Jorge Martinez is being monitored on a day to day basis with the same concern, while left-back Armand Traore is also in a race against time to face Roma, as he suffered a muscle strain in his right thigh.
