Chievo consider loaning Arsenal’s Vela

Chievo have emerged as surprise candidates to take Arsenal’s young Mexican striker Carlos Vela on loan for the rest of the season.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is willing to let Vela gain some first-team experience as his route to the Arsenal starting XI is currently blocked.
This has prompted a significant scramble for the 21-year-old’s signature, and Chievo have now also joined the race.
The Flying Donkeys currently sit in mid-table in Serie A but are keen to bolster their squad in an attempt to finish even higher.
Sergio Pellissier has had to burden the weight of expectation to score Chievo’s goals almost single-handedly so a new striker is a priority in January.
Mexican international Vela was expected to join Valencia on loan, although more teams have now submitted bids to Arsenal, including Chievo.
Vela has previously had loan spells with Salamanca and Osasuna in the Spanish league so may favour another switch to La Liga, although the possibility now exists for him to spend a few months in Verona instead. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
