China to host Italian Super Cup

The FIGC have announced plans to play the annual Italian Super Cup in China for three of the next four years.
The Super Cup is played before the start of each new season, and is contested between the Scudetto winners and Coppa Italia winners of the previous campaign. The showpiece event has regularly been played in foreign countries, and in 2009 it was held in Beijing, China.
Now Serie A president Maurizio Beretta has confirmed plans to take the Super Cup back to China. He said: “It is an important shop window for Italian football to put itself forward on the international market.
“The clubs have all given us the clearance to close the deal for playing three of the next four editions of the Italian Super Cup in China.
“The first will be at the end of this season, seeing as during the summer there are no World Cup or European Championship commitments.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
