Chivu apologises for punch on Rossi

During Inter’s 3-0 win against Bari last night, Christian Chivu inexplicably threw a punch at Marco Rossi. After the game the Romanian (who will almost definitely face a lengthy ban) apologised for his actions.
Inter were just coming into what had been a frustrating game against Bari at the San Nicola when Chivu seemingly threw an unprovoked punch at Rossi. He amazingly stayed on the pitch although he is certain to face disciplinary action.
Chivu spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the incident immediately after the game and profusely apologised for his shameful acts.
“It is difficult to explain, I am here because I want to apologise to Rossi, with all the dignity that I have left. I apologise to everyone, above all my two children who one day will watch this clip.”
Inter boss Leonardo also had his say on the matter in the post match press conference and stated that he had talked to his player and will discuss the issue in private once more.
“The Chivu incident? We’ve spoken about it and he will too. To be honest I didn’t see the episode. However I believe that what’s wrong, is wrong, even if these things happen. They happen, but they shouldn’t.”
Leonardo may have more understanding than most about moments of madness after he himself was once suspended for four games after elbowing the American midfielder Tab Ramos in USA 94. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
