Cordoba: “Inter have sent out a message”

Inter’s veteran defender Ivan Cordoba was in good spirits after his training session yesterday telling journalists that Inter have sent out a message to the league and that they are ready to face Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Sky Sport 24 outside the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti, Cordoba talked about Saturday nights 1-0 win against Cagliari. The Nerazzurri had work hard for the three points as the Colombian explained, “It was a very important win because often when you win like that it sends out a message, and it can turn out to be a very significant result. You can’t dominate and win every game. The Italian league is tough and you can come up against very motivated and on-form teams. Much of the credit has to go to Cagliari if we were unable to play as well as we wanted to and as we have done many times in the past.”
He also talked about the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich stating that “We know they were having a difficult time in the league but they are playing well again now and they’ve climbed the table. That should give us extra motivation. Champions League games are very different to league matches: the greater importance of each single game, the way they are played, the atmosphere…
“We have to put in a top performance here so that we can qualify when we go to their place. It might be an opportunity for them to get revenge for the final in Madrid, but every game is different and each one has to be played; it’s impossible to compare games. On Wednesday we can’t expect Bayern to give us much room so we’ll have to work hard to create our own space, and get stuck into them right from kick-off.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
