Corinthians claim Adriano agreement

Brazilian club Corinthians have said that they have reached an agreement with Adriano for a January transfer, although they are still waiting for Roma to confirm the deal.
Adriano has been unsettled since joining Roma last summer from Flamengo, prompting rumours of a move back to his home country of Brazil. Corinthians have now suggested that they are the club to have convinced Adriano to come home, partly due to the influence of iconic striker Ronaldo.
The 34-year-old former Real Madrid and Inter legend now plays at the Brazilian club but will retire at the end of the current season. He has repeatedly called for Adriano to become his team-mate for the final few months of his career because the pair are close friends.
Corinthians director of sport Roberto de Andrade told a Brazilian television channel: “We have reached a verbal agreement with Adriano and the contract is ready to be signed. At this point we are only missing the final word on Roma’s behalf.”
Last week Roma president Rosella Sensi vowed that she wouldn’t sell Adriano, but the 28-year-old still hasn’t scored a goal for the Giallorossi and his unhappiness may force a transfer to go through in the next few weeks. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
