Cosmi looks ahead to Genoa trip

Palermo will look to get their season back on track as they visit Genoa this weekend. A 0-7 drubbing at the hands of Udinese cost Delio Rossi his job, but new Coach Serse Cosmi lost his debut against Lazio last Sunday.
The former Perugia tactician spoke to the Corriere Mercantile, and warned his side they face a tough contest against the Rossoblu: “This Sunday it will be a difficult match because Genoa is a good team.”
Cosmi has the task of motivating his players for the final stretch of the season but does not believe the side is in shock after their poor run of form.
“The squad in shock? No, but we are experiencing a delicate moment. I have to work with their mentality and they have to understand that the season is not finished.”
Questions were asked about how the hot-headed Cosmi would be able to function under the equally fiery Maurizio Zamparini, but the 52-year-old believes Palermo can finish in the European places and will fight for a trophy: “Our objectives are the Coppa Italia and the Europa League,” noted Cosmi.
Ahead of the Genoa clash, Cosmi, a former Genoa Coach, was not hesitant in announcing any desire to return to the Grifoni: “Would I return to Coach Genoa? Yes, swiftly.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
