Coutinho in extra gym work to adapt to Serie A

Corriere dello Sport has reported that Inter’s teenage prodigy Philippe Coutinho is undergoing training in the gym to help him adapt to the physicality of Serie A.
Coutinho, 18, has come into the team in recent weeks due to injuries in Inter’s squad and has impressed in a creative midfield role. However, Inter are trying to make the Brazilian physically stronger.
The Nerazzurri’s chief fitness coach Francisco De Miguel said: “Coutinho has strong and quick legs. He is very fast with the ball at his feet and this is facilitated by his coordinated movements and by a good control of his posture.”
Inter bought Coutinho back in 2008 but allowed him to stay with his boyhood club, Vasco Da Gama, for two more seasons until he came to Italy permanently this summer.
