D’Agostino wants to remain in Florence

Gaetano D’Agostino had a mixed first season at Fiorentina, but has told Tuttomercatoweb he loves the city and would like to remain in Florence despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
The 29-year-old is co-owned by Udinese and La Viola, who paid €4.5m for half his contract in June 2010. And the Italian international revealed he has found more than just football in Florence.
“I love Florence, aside from the football and I want to remain here. Me and my family have found it very good, so much so that I have decided to open a restaurant. Florence has given me much and I have had the opportunity to remain close to God.”
The midfielder also says he wants to repay the faith of the fans: “I have always had this city in my heart and I would be happy to remain at Fiorentina to repay the affection that the fans have given me.”
Injuries hampered D’Agostino, as Fiorentina missed out on a European spot, but he made 20 appearances for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team last season, scoring five goals.
