De Laurentiis rues penalty decision

Juventus came back from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw against Napoli last night in the Stadio San Paolo. Marek Hamsik opened the scoring and Goran Pandev scored a brace to put the hosts 3-1 up with only twenty minutes remaining. However strikes from Marcelo Estigarribia and Simone Pepe saw Juventus leave Naples with a crucial point and the preservation of their unbeaten record.
Napoli were left to rue an unfortunate inability to see the game out and the penalty miss of Marek Hamsik in the early exchanges. Hamsik’s miss came at the second attempt from the spot following what was judged to be encroachment into the box. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis could not hide his frustration at the decision telling reporters: “For me the game finished 4-3. I am referring to the goal that was disallowed. The decision to make the penalty be retaken is incomprehensible.”
De Laurentiis was however full of praise for Macedonian striker Goran Pandev. “The absence of [Edinson] Cavani has allowed us to see Pandev who, although is not physically ready to play for 90 minutes, did well in his return with a second goal that I really liked.”
This result sees Juventus move two points clear of AC Milan and Udinese at the top of the table. Napoli are currently in sixth, nine points behind Juventus. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
