De Rossi: A difficult period for Roma

Daniele De Rossi has admitted Roma are experiencing a difficult period, after consecutive losses in Serie A and overnight in the Coppa Italia.
Roma lost both matches at home, to Palermo 2-3, and in the semi-final first leg 0-1 against Inter. This comes despite good news off the pitch with Thomas Di Benedetto confirmed as the new owner of the club.
De Rossi told ANSA: “It has not been a lucky year. We have tried and do not have anybody to blame. Certainly it is not easy at this moment, in which we have seen all of our objectives vanish.”
The loss on the weekend leaves Roma in sixth position and seven points behind city-rivals Lazio, who currently occupy the final Champions League spot.
De Rossi has not given up hope of overturning the deficit against Inter, but concedes finishing fourth will prove a difficult task.
“In the Coppa Italia, the final word has not spoken yet. I have seen us go to Milan and we have won on other occasions. As for the Champions League, it is indeed difficult. Nevertheless, if we do not start to win some matches, there is nothing more to do.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
