De Sisti: “I like Mihajlovic but results count”

Fiorentina legend Giancarlo De Sisti has noted to Radio Blu while he is a fan of Sinisa Mihajlovic, football is a results business and this is what matters most.
“I like Mihajlovic, he is practical, but in this business it is the results that count.”
La Viola drew 1-1 at bottom-placed Bari on the weekend and currently sits in 12th position; European qualification is seemingly out of their grasp. Scudetto winner in 1969 with the Florence outfit, De Sisti insists that despite his stance towards the Serbian Coach, the team must improve: “In recent season we have become accustomed to seeing Fiorentina in a good position on the ladder. However, the performance at Bari comes down to the players and coach.”
Mihajlovic took over the reins from Cesare Prandelli in the summer and has had to deal with a mass of injuries since arriving at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Two key players in Stevan Jovetic and Sebastien Frey have most all or most of the campaign while Adrian Mutu was frozen out for some weeks. De Sisti acknowledged injuries have taken their toll but was adamant hard work is what is required at the Club.
“Fiorentina are missing Jovetic and Frey, but the squad is almost complete and with the same players that Prandelli took to another level. Now they must work harder.”
